Cloe and Gareth kept things intentionally low key for their Scottish Highlands wedding. They married with just sixteen guests, all staying together in a large lodge, sharing meals, views and the pace of a few slow days away. The setting did most of the work, and so their brief was simple - natural tones, hints of lilac and light sage, and nothing that competed with the landscape.Read more...

Their wedding plans were already very much in motion when George and Kirk attended Rock n Roll Bride Live in 2024. From the beginning, skiing sat at the centre of Ryan and Stephanie's relationship. They spent a lot of time on the mountains while they were dating, so when it came to planning their wedding, they couldn't imagine going anywhere else. However they wanted a new adventure too, so chose Zermatt in Switzerland, a resort neither of them had been to before, as their location.Read more...

The couple met in a bar in Nashville, on Lucie's last night of a solo trip. She'd decided to go there because she loves the music scene there - little did she know she's also meet her husband! "Casey is a musician from Nashville and I live in the UK, but we stayed in touch when I got back home and video called every single day from then until I went back two months later", she told us. "Within six months of our long distance relationship, Casey proposed to me outside the Grand Ole Opry and it was the easiest yes I've ever said. We then planned the wedding in three months!"Read more...

Alma and Jose got married in October at the National Forest land in Keystone, Colorado. The setting was open, quiet, and deliberately unfussy. After starting to plan a big wedding, they quickly realised it wasn't for them so instead chose somewhere where they didn't need to have a schedule or worry about venue packages! Instead, the day was all about them and their families.Read more...

Sure Thing Chapel (and their second location, Sure Thing Too) in Las Vegas has become somewhat of a pilgrimage spot for alt couples who want a kitsch, quirky Vegas wedding. We see a lot of weddings in this space. We’ve featured weddings with rhinestones, leather, Hellvis, pink suits, black veils and every combination possible. Then Zuza and Marcin walked in and the way Tree of Life Films & Photos captured them almost shifted the room into something new. We are totally obsessed with these photos and we think you will be too.Read more...

The Lobsters for Life Wedding Fair in The Netherlands pulled in makers, creatives and couples from across Europe last month and gave us a look at how alt weddings are evolving outside the UK. We were so excited to be invited along and spent the day meeting vendors who are pushing ideas forward with real intention. If you missed it and you are planning something unconventional on European soil, this shoot brings that same vibe straight to you! Every look, prop and detail was created by vendors from the show and most of them work with couples all over the continent.Read more...

Jody and Riyston climbed a lifeguard tower in Ibiza as part of their wedding photos. Not the kind of image they might have imagined years ago, but that was the point. Their elopement was designed to be unpredictable and playful, inspired by Vegas weddings and shaped entirely around them. Caridad and Frank chose a park in Bayonne, New Jersey as their wedding location because it felt like neutral ground. A place where they can just be without an audience. Aimee and Jon left Birmingham to get married in the Nevada desert. The bride loved the idea of Vegas, the groom wanted something outdoors or in the mountains, so as soon as they found out about the little chapel at Eldorado Canyon, they knew it would be the best of both worlds. Eldorado Canyon gave them the intimacy they wanted, but they still ended the day in true Vegas fashion. After the ceremony they changed outfits and headed to the Strip and Downtown to celebrate.Read more...

Kerri and Katie knew they didn’t want a spectacle for their wedding. No themes, no overwhelming itinerary, no audience of distant cousins and plus-ones. Just them, two witnesses, and the Northumberland coastline stretched out behind the walls of Bamburgh Castle. They live by the sea, so choosing a venue that sat above the shoreline was less about grandeur and more about feeling like home. “We knew we wanted a small intimate ceremony with our best friends and minimal details to worry about so we could have the focus of the day be us and our love for each other”, they said.Read more...

Liz was working as a wedding photographer and renting an office space in a tattoo studio in Philadelphia when she met Sheep, an English tour manager passing through town. She wasn’t even supposed to be in the shop that day, but the studio owner whistled her over to introduce her to his friend. Ten minutes of small talk, Sheep walked out and asked for her Instagram. Liz remembers prancing around the studio after he messaged, while the owner called it: “Y’all are either going to have one date and never see each other again or you’re gonna get married, I’m calling it.” I guess they were right!Read more...
